Five Core Commitments
Historical Orthodox Christianity
We are committed to historical and Biblical orthodox Christianity. In addition to the Old Testament, the teachings of Jesus given to the apostles, delivered to the churches in the form of our New Testament, and contended for by faithful Christians through the medieval and Reformation years, are those that articulate the Christian faith. We therefore treat with extreme suspicion any teaching which is either built upon a different foundation, or finds the teaching in the Old and New Testaments wanting in any way.
Classical Approach to Education
We are committed to the Classical approach to education in content, method, and aim. Our collegial stance towards Christian schools of other approaches remains as firm as our commitment to the Classical distinction.
Shrewdness
We are committed to shrewdness, which we understand to be thinking that is proactive, strategic, and evaluative.
Innovative Institution Building
We are aware that certain values and ideologies of our time have stunted innovation and promoted a dualistic approach to Christian work. While remaining firmly planted in timeless truths and virtues, we are committed to innovative approaches to building institutions. This means taking risks. But we see risks as opportunities to trust God, and failure as opportunities to grow. So we embrace these as part of this commitment.
In All Things, Prayer
We are committed to seeking the Lord in all of our endeavors, humbly asking for wisdom, compassion, and boldness that we might succeed in fulfilling the work He places before us.
